Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia, affecting more than 55 million individuals. Despite persistent efforts, we've only begun to scratch the surface of the disease, which unfortunately remains so poorly understood with absence of a definite cure. Therefore, our lab continues to develop brain organoids that recapitulate the Alzheimer's disease to attempt to shed light on its complex pathology which may facilitate early-sate diagnosis and development of efficacious treatments.
